player glitch?

so i was in thug pro and went online and i saw this server that everyone had the same username and idk if this was a glitch or something.

You can have as many of the same username as you want in a room. Not a glitch or anything else.

Pretty much what sk8ace said, inside a room, you can see the same username several times, even 8 players and 8 observers with the same name.

What i find weird is that any repeated username in the lobby has (if i'm not mistaken) a c, a few random numbers and an underline before the name.
Like, e.g. "c5074_ShutMeUp" but correct me if i'm wrong, i haven't seen it in action in at least 1 year.

I wonder why this happens only in the lobby, but not inside a room.

It's because the game uses IRC in the main lobby for chatting. You need to have unique username in IRC. If you don't, Openspy adds random characters to the beginning of the name.
