Revert button unassigns itself every so often?

Every so often, the button assigned to revert resets itself, and I have to manually go into the THUGPro launcher and reassign the button. Is there any way to fix this? It seems to happen at random, and only started this past week. I'm using a DS4 emulated as an Xbox 360 controller through DS4Windows, if that matters, and I've had this setup for at least 2 years or so.

It's because you're using an xinput device and crashing which prevents the game from running its exit code.

Just tested it and confirmed this only occurs when crashing. Strange though, because I haven't had this problem before even though I've crashed many times. Thanks for the help.
