Create-A- / RAD Video Tools - Older Version (v0.8i) Download

When I create soundtracks for THUGPro, I like to use an old version of the RAD Video Tools (version 0.8i RC1) to encode songs. This is because these older tools can encode songs in much higher quality than the new tools. I don't use these tools for every soundtrack I make, though. I only use them for soundtracks that I believe deserve to be in higher quality. You can also use these tools to encode BIKs that are compatible with THPS2 for PC.

If you're a sucker for audio quality like me, I would recommend these tools! However, here are some things to keep in mind:
  • These tools cannot encode songs in bulk, unlike the newer tools. If you have a lot of songs to encode, it can take a while.
  • Encoding one song takes a lot longer than it does with the newer tools. It took 9 seconds to encode the example song with the new tools; it took about a minute with the old tools.
  • The higher quality audio comes with a cost of file size. The new tools have a 5:1 compression ratio; the old tools have a 3:1 ratio.

If you don't care too much for audio quality, then I do not recommend getting this. The newer tools are more convenient and encode a lot faster. The audio quality is just fine, too.

Update:

- Now fully compatible with THUG Pro 0.7.0.0 with the following changes:
   Added Hollywood, Downtown, Casino, & Oil Rig (THAW) to the level merge menu.
   Removed credits/menu info option in favor of using the new description text under the pause menu when highlighted.
   Tweaked panel messages/UI text for the toggles in the toggles menu, driveable car controls, & ped-skater swapper script to work with the new panel message system.

- Ammo pickup sfx now properly plays when selecting ammo in the ammo menu.
- Removed wait countdown from skater ejector script, was kinda unneccesary & buggy with the new panel message system anyway.
- Added buggy disclaimer text to the BO Halfpipe Truck in the vehicle menu.
- Added THAW police car to the driveable cars list.
- Added Rio police car to the driveable cars list.
- Added Rio Bus to the driveable cars list.
- Added Alcatraz Tram to the driveable cars list.
- Added NJ van cutscene anims to the anims menu.
- Disabled the ability to park the transam car (it caused the game to hang whenever the THPS4 college professor's car is loaded due to script conflicts between the models).
- Removed ped ammo crash fix from the mod's .prx file as it is no longer needed.

They are made from the very same censored streams that are on the game discs. Should be tagged and ordered in the exact same way the games have them. Let me know if anything is wrong.

If anybody can help me decode the THAW PC music wad, that would be great. The tool on THPS-Mods doesn't even extract the PS2 Underground files successfully. A tool on GitHub pre-warns that it doesn't support THAW.

I modded roq tool layout to make it simple. The combo list of debug and thug1 doesn't work (tested multiple times) and removed prx/pre unpacker because PreTool does better job. This program claim to work THUG2/Pro and Remix scripts flawlessly. THPS3, THPS4, and THUG1 partially works but the scripts comes out corrupted...error instructions.

Update:

- Added more options to the ped stuff submenu:
   Swap with a ped (Seamlessly swap your skater with any level ped of your choice by going up to the one you want & confirming, you can also add an optional board model after swapping)
   Paper Peds (Makes every ped 2D, Paper Mario-style)
   Giant Peds
   Disco Peds (Flashes different random colors on every level ped)
- Added your skater & the Boston guy to the ped model switcher list
- Excluded peds that use the seagull (caused garbled polygons everywhere) & female (caused broken rigging) ped skeletons from the ped model switcher scripts
- The reset all peds script now runs faster
- Fixed skater jumping when messing with scripts in the player color menu
- This update includes one additional model in the models folder

Update:

Toggles Menu Changes:
- Added a toggle for the Double Fistin trick particles (it will always stay on until you disable it)

Level Stuff Menu Changes:
- Added added a ped stuff submenu to level stuff menu, has stuff that mess with level peds such as:
   Enable/disable every ped
   Mean Peds (Causes every ped close to you to start chasing & attacking you)
   Sticky Peds (Causes a ped to stick to you when hitting them)
   Ragdolling Peds (Causes a ped to become a bouncy object when hitting them)
   Change every ped model to... (Changes every level ped model to one of your choice)
- The extra level options submenu now includes toggles for all levelgeom, objs, & rails, the old extra level options submenu is still available under "level-specific toggles"
- Removed the "Remove Level Objects & Rail Nodes" option, the newly added toggles give more control

Vehicle Menu Changes:
- All driveable cars can now be parked anywhere, you can also go back into them at any time (grab trick button)
- Added more driveable cars:
   Drug Dealer's Escalade
   DC Shoe Truck
   Boston Halfpipe Truck (Buggy)
   TransAm Car
   THPS4 Professor's Car
- Changed engine sounds for certain driveable cars
- Fixed an issue where the motor sounds for the mechanical bull wouldn't load properly
- Fixed a crash that would happen when exiting the driveable cars in certain custom levels

Spawn Menu Changes:
- The security guard now chases & hits you while riding a segway
- The police chirp sound now plays when spawning Officer Dick

Misc:
- Removed unused/unreleased/unfinished scripts within the mod's main qb file
- More external files (models) have been added/modified in this update
