Create-A- / [THPG] [PS3] Explicit Soundtrack Mod
« on: August 11, 2024, 03:27:38 am »
THPG Explicit Soundtrack Mod

This mod replaces all the songs in the PS3 version of THPG with explicit and higher-quality versions. The vanilla game uses 128 kbps MP3s. All the songs in this mod are VBR V0 MP3s encoded from FLAC. There are two songs in 192 kbps quality ("Disintegrate" and "That's Entertainment") and that's cuz they seem to only exist in this quality. All songs should also have proper volume levels calculated with ReplayGain.

In this Drive folder, you will see two soundtrack packs. One is the game's original soundtrack with all songs explicit and in higher quality. The other one, the "Extended Soundtrack", is the explicit soundtrack plus songs left unused in the Wii version of THPG along with "Even Flow" by Pearl Jam cuz why the hell not? These songs are also explicit and encoded from FLAC to VBR V0 MP3. This makes a total of 91 songs!

Installation instructions are provided in the ReadMe. You will need a program called GHSDK to install this soundtrack mod. You can get them here: https://gitgud.io/fretworks/guitar-hero-sdk

This was tested on an emulator. This might work on real hardware, but I'm not entirely sure. If you need help installing the mod, please let me know!

Enjoy!

Create-A- / THPS Soundtracks for ReTHAWed - DOWNLOAD
« on: May 27, 2024, 04:38:11 pm »
Here you will find ReTHAWed-compatible soundtracks for (almost) every Tony Hawk game! Just like my THUGPro soundtracks, these songs were encoded from lossless sources, should all be the correct versions, and have consistent volume levels. All songs are explicit, too!

ReTHAWed soundtracks have fields for extra song info like album titles and album art. These soundtracks should have proper info and even unique album art for each song! Soundtracks for games like THPSHD and THPS 1+2 only have the new songs in them since you can enable and shuffle through multiple soundtracks. Enjoy!

HOW TO INSTALL
Each folder should contain Bink files, image files for album art, and a pack.ini file. Take these folders and put them in this directory:
(THAW install directory)\game\data\mod\UserMods\MusicPacks\
If it all goes well, the launcher should recognize the newly installed soundtracks in the Mod Manager.
NOW GO PLAY!

Create-A- / Blender NinjaRipper Importer by Alexander Gavrilov
« on: March 10, 2024, 05:41:11 pm »
This is a plugin made by Alexander Gavrilov for Blender 2.77 that lets you import NinjaRipper .RIP files. If you're gonna import NinjaRipper stuff into Blender, USE THIS. It has a lot of nice features, it can properly import .RIP files in bulk, and it imports textures and vertex shading.

DOWNLOAD HERE: https://github.com/angavrilov/blender-import-ninjaripper

HOW TO INSTALL:
  • Download "import-ninja.py"
  • Open up Blender, go to File > User Preferences...
  • Go to the Add-ons tab and click "Install Addon from File..."
  • Locate "import-ninja.py" and double-click on it. You should see it pop up in your list of add-ons.
  • Enable it and click "Save User Settings", and you should now be good to go.

This was made for Blender 2.77, but this also works with 2.79b. I'm not sure if this would work with versions 2.8 and beyond.

Enjoy!

Create-A- / Re: THPS Community Soundtrack Vol. 5 - FORM CLOSED, COMING SOON
« on: February 12, 2024, 01:07:10 pm »
The song request form is now closed. Thank you to everyone who submitted songs! 21 submissions were collected and that is just enough for a full 80-song playlist. The soundtrack should be ready Soon™️. You can find more info and updates regarding the soundtrack here. The download link for the soundtrack along with playlist versions for steaming services will also be here when it's ready.

Peace,
-ShOscar

Did you get permission to release some of these maps? Some of them I don't think ever got proper public releases in any shape or form. Might be worth asking the creators before putting their content up, just a thought.

I didn't really ask anyone for permission to release these maps, no. Cuz that would be a lot of people to ask, and that also includes people who aren't even in the community anymore. And I'm not gonna go and track down every single creator; that just ain't feasible. I just thought all these maps would be cool to make available for the sake of preserving the history of custom THPS levels. There's a lot of cool stuff from way back when that never got proper public releases and are in a somewhat finished state.

Tho since you did bring it up, there are some maps made by you that are in this collection. Would you prefer that I remove all of your old levels from this pack? If so, I can also remove your levels from the Legacy Levels pack I made about a year ago.

LAST CALL FOR REQUESTS!

We just made it to 21 responses, which is just enough for a full soundtrack. I will be closing the form on Monday, so if you got any requests you want to send in, be sure to do so before it's too late!

Peace,

Hello everyone,

I just wanna remind you all that the soundtrack request form is still open! I am at 16 responses so far, and I have received a lot of good music suggestions! Continue to keep them coming. The form will remain open until I get enough responses.

Peace,

Hello again!

I originally wanted to close the request form on Saturday. I thought two weeks would be plenty of time to get enough responses, but I have not been getting as many responses as I anticipated. Instead, I will drop the deadline and keep the request form open until I get enough responses. Once I get about 20 responses, a new deadline will be enacted.

Right now, I am at 14 responses with a total of 70 songs. All from many different countries and continents! I've been listening to them all, and there's a lot of great stuff in there. Keep them coming!

Peace.

Hello everyone!

So far, I received eight responses with a total of 40 songs. I've had some people tell me that choosing songs for this is a little more difficult due to the songs needing to be from different countries, and I understand. It took me a while to choose my own songs too, I'll admit. But hey, I think it's a good opportunity to get us all to think about our song choices, as well as get to know the origin places of the bands and artists we love.

My goal is to have at least 19 or 20 responses so I can have enough songs to sift through to make a full 80-song soundtrack. I plan to close the form on the 27th. If I don't get enough responses by then, I'll keep the form open for a little longer.

Have fun, and I await your responses! :D

A WILHELM SCREAM MENTIONED!!!!!
glad you like it! i got into A Wilhelm Scream pretty recently, and i'm really digging their stuff. their albums Partycrasher and Lose Your Delusion (the one with "GIMMETHESHAKES") are both absolute bangers! i recommend them both if you haven't listened to them yet.

Quote
when i try to sample them in the tracklist the game just crashes
this is because the name of the song file is too long. the filename shouldn't exceed 22 or 23 characters. otherwise, it'll crash upon trying to preview it.
Quote
all the songs show up on the tracklist, but they don't all play. some songs never do
i believe this is also tied to song names being too long. try shortening all the ones that are over 23 characters long to see if that fixes it.
