Extracting ps1 models

Does anyone know how to extract models from ps1 games? Specifically, I would like to be able to extract the levels from Grind Session to convert into THUG Pro.

ps1 games all use their own format for each game usually. you'd have to be a programmer and have an understanding of the model format to be able to convert the models
