Crashing online when I join other's games

I've had a problem with crashing recently when I join someone's game. At random I would crash. I'm pretty sure it is due to a bad connection because right before I crash, everyone freezes for a second but I can still see the game going on then it proceeds to crash. What is weird is that I never experienced this problem on Windows 7. It started to happen when I upgraded to Windows 10. I've tried compatibility mode with Windows 7 and Vista already and that does not seem to work. I've turned off fullscreen anti aliasing and high quality shadows with windowed mode and still no luck. It is all very strange as I can host and freeskate offline just fine. Anything will help me at this point because I'm pretty desperate now as I feel like I've tried everything even reinstalling thugpro and installing a new THUG2. Any help? Thanks!

As I said online, my working theory is that it could be the wifi connection. Strange that it didn't crash on windows 7 though. If you get a chance to connect directly to the modem/router with an Ethernet cable, that will be the true test.

Until then, make sure thugpro is allowed through the firewall and antivirus software.

You could also try disabling IPv6.

so I decided to let thugpro through my firewall (mostly because I have hung around with enough people in game to trust that there isn't really anyone who is gonna hack people through it and the dev(s?) don't seem like the type of people/person to stick a virus into the next download). After doing that it seems to have fixed my crashing online problem (unless there was an update since last I tried that I just didn't notice that fixed it).
