CAP checksums

Hi,

This post is mainly related to %.gone's THAW Launcher and it's ability to bypass CAP checksums to load manually modified parks. I haven't been able to run this tool, even in administrator like everywhere on the web suggests;  Always returns an invalid server message.

How exactly does the bypass work,  or how do you properly generate a new CRC32?

I initially tried to reference the guide above to no avail.    Does not seem to be compatible with PC or 360 CAP.

If anyone has any information on this, please do take the time to explain here or in private;   This is the last hurdle in my way.

For clarity, this is not related to THUGPRO;  strictly vanilla THAW.

These are for CAS and CAP I forget which is which.
English reloaded NO-CD offsets = 0x1A3E4F, 0x261B03
German reloaded NO-CD offsets = 0x1A3ACF, 0x261993
Polish NO-CD offsets = 0x1A488F, 0x2AC7F3

bytes at offset 1 = 0F85DE010000 change to 909090909090
bytes at offset 2 = 0F85DE010000 change to 909090909090

Using a hex editor navigate to the offset make sure the bytes match the original and overwrite them with no operation optcodes.
