I've replaced a secret skater with custom but not showing up ingame

I have replaced the .skin.xbx and .tex.xbx from thug 2 of a secret skater with my own model from blinder (i followed this http://thpsx.com/forums/index.php?topic=555.0) and after replacing the files the same one I was trying to replace is still in game?? I'm not sure what im doing wrong, any tips or help would be appreciated.

try replacing the files in both your thug 2 directory as well as your thug pro directory

Did you dummy your files? If not, put the files: skaterparts.prx, skaterparts_secret.prx and skaterparts_temp.prx into your pre folder in your thug 2 data directory then peplace the existing files. You can get the dummy files by downloading this, you only need the dummy files so ignore the rest of the files :http://thpsx.com/creation-details/?obj=724
