The THUG2 Remix versions of Kyoto and Las Vegas are also different from the THAW versions.  There's a big crater in the THAW version of Kyoto where there's a casino building in THUG2 Remix.  And there's an elevator disguised as a big fish tank in the THUG2 Remix version of Las Vegas that takes you up to an office area.

The East LA skate shop looks like a modified version of the skate shop from THUG that was used for the main menu background in THUG Pro.  Perhaps it could be added as an alternative main menu background.  I remember the devs were talking about the possibility of adding the THPS4 skate shop as an alternative main menu background in the past.

Nice! Frost designed some THUG Pro desktops a couple of years ago. They're based on the old logo, but someone might want to use them.

It turns out there are actually a bunch of knockoff Tony Hawk games.  There's box art for 9 of them at this link:

I guess they're just pirated versions of the regular games with different box art.  The company that designed the box art is actually located in Damascus, Syria.

I just discovered a picture of the box art for a knockoff version of THUG2 that was being sold in Nairobi, Kenya.  Look at this!

Someone should make this game using assets from the Tony Hawk games.  Or maybe someone could make a conversion mod based on the tennis minigame from THPS4.  It could have a bunch of different courts and characters to choose from, and feature online play.

Questions & Tutorials / Re: Question about ripping XBOX Resources
« on: February 29, 2016, 10:06:45 am »
You can rip files from a video game disc directly to your computer, but it's a little tricky.  I've only ever done it with Gamecube and Wii games.  You need special software, and it only works with certain disc drives; all of which were made around the year 2002.  The disc drives that work for ripping Nintendo games aren't the same ones that work for ripping Xbox games though.

I'm not sure that you'd need a special disc drive for ripping Xbox games, but I don't know much about it.  I just found this program that claims it can rip files from Xbox 360 discs, without needing a special disc drive.  If it works with Xbox 360 discs, it probably also works with Xbox discs.

I don't know much about ripping video game discs using the system itself, so that might be easier.  If it isn't though, here's a link to a website that has information about and instructions on how to use the program that I found.  It's free software and there's a link to download it right there.  The program is called wxRipper.

The developers are probably planning to convert all of the THPS2X levels from THPS3 LevelMod anyways.  If you want to help out with the game, you should contact them first.

I remember someone saying that they saw the developers playing a private online game in the Mall level, right before the THPS3 levels were released.  The Skatepark Chicago level from THAW has already been added to THUG Pro, so I suspect they plan on adding all of the THAW old school levels prior to adding the rest of the levels featured in THPS2X.  Along with The Mall, Downtown Minneapolis and Marseille will probably be added in the near future.

I suspect that all of the THP8 levels will be finished before all of the THAW levels are.  Three THP8 levels have been added already, and there's a video from a couple of years ago of Crete Park looking almost complete.  The only THAW levels that have been added so far are ones that don't feature skate ranch pieces.  The ones with skate ranch pieces might be more difficult to convert.  For this reason, it wouldn't surprise me if the next THAW level to be added turns out to be The Ruins.  If not The Ruins, Casino is also a likely possibility for the next THAW level, since it's the only THUG2 Remix level that hasn't been added yet.

Do you think you could convert this battle stage from Mario Kart Wii to work in THPS3?  It's got jumps and the whole outside edge is a quarter pipe.
Maybe some park editor pieces could be dropped into it to fill some of the empty space.
