General THPS(X) / Re: THUGPRO Level Update Thread

Never played in downhill before. But i loved the map as it loaded in THUG Pro.So i might spend some time glitching the ENTIRE THING! skating and having some fun. It's kind of a beautiful level in my opinion.

:-) The lighting and colors are great.

Yeah, agreed. It's one of the best night levels in the series, surprisingly. It looks absolutely stellar with ReShade/SweetFX as well.

Explain how to upgrade, please :-\

Just open THUGPro and it should start downloading the update. Did it download but now the game is crashing?

No problem. ;)

I hope that they fix that because I lost my custom deck graphic now... :(

Yeah, I lost all my griptape lol Edit: Or uh, not? What is this sorcery? My tape works in levels, but not in the CAS menu. I don't even know what's going on, THUGPro team just working their magic.

EDIT: Only while online? I, what? Huh, weird.

My THUG2 skaterparts.prx file was dummied out (0KB). If you replace it with the original THUG2 skaterparts.prx, the game should open! :D

Good job dude!

I hope that's just some mistake/bug and can be worked around.

And thanks Krad, good to hear!

Same for me, crashes. The only log info is:

[14-05-2016 @ 07:01]: Couldn't find Data\NVIDIA Corporation\ShadowPlay\CaptureCore.log (this is repeated like, 25 times or something)
[14-05-2016 @ 07:01]: Couldn't open shaders/PostEffects.fx (3)

But those were coming up in the last update as well. I also had viewer mode enabled but turned it off and removed my Reshade injection but neither helped.

EDIT: and removed all CAS files from Save in case there was some random incompatibility. Still gives me the same problem. I forgot to mention, I also removed my Nvidia profile for THUGPro, which I use for SGSSAA.

I'm on Windows 8.1 btw. Nvidia GTX 970 with driver 358.91. (Out of date, but that's because it's the first stable one Nvidia has put out for me in months.)

I love these teaser update logs. Much appreciated!

"Restored original THUG1 Wallplant animation."

That's going to be soooo nice. That will single handedly make the entire game look better.

We knew THUGPro was going Downhill, but apparently the CAP editor really went to Hell too. I guess if they ever port Sewers from THPS4 PS1, we can finally say the mod has went to shit as well.

Sounds like an awesome update all around. I can't wait to skate and glitch around Downhill and East LA. Day one.

Lol I bet people were spending more time in the lobby stalking quazz's server than playing the game.

East LA is going to be huuuuge when it makes it in. So many people have wanted that one since I started playing like 2.5 years ago.

Downhill is an interesting one I didn't expect, but awesome. I really don't get why Shaba bothered changing it in Project 8, but anyway.

What I'm confused about is Las Vegas? I mean, Casino and LV are nearly identical aside from LV being more complete (as is the case with Santa Cruz too) and I figured Casino would be ported well before the THUG2 Remix version would be. I'd prefer Remix versions anyway due to their completeness. Well, just with console textures where possible. Here's to hoping the definitive Santa Cruz Remix version will get ported. EDIT: And Kyoto, how could I forget. I will miss you, "sandy beach OOB area with unused warp zone."

I highly doubt it, but there's a small chance that the Downhill level could also be this one.  ;)

(This is not my image. I found it online.)

lol Well, that never came to mind but technically you've a point.

Hell yeah! Can't wait to shred the suburbs!

Dude, same here. I really like that level, but I'd love it in THUGPro.

http://thmods.com/mod_tools/sources.zip
Inside this file is a bunch of folders & .rar files.
There are THUG2 PC image converter programs in the defeat0r.rar file.

Those are the programs that I use for extracting & building .xbx files.
The IMG2TGA_UG2 folder is the extractor.

I keep trying to download but thmods hates me (Download fails)

If you're still having problems with that one for whatever reason (probably AV like Skater1014 said) you can download the THUG2 texture tools directly from my thread on PHUN:

http://phun.freeforums.org/custom-thugpro-content-boards-clothes-retextures-etc-t5990.html

Available via Dropbox or Mediafire, whichever you prefer.

Questions & Tutorials / Re: Controller Messed Up In THUGPRO (FIXED)
« on: March 03, 2016, 09:58:17 pm »
From what I gather, this was delivered as a Windows Update with other bug fixes etc and wasn't considered a driver update. The update was KB3140743. For right now, until Microsoft actually fixes controllers instead of breaking something else, I'd try uninstalling that.

Let me know if it works. I'm sure this will plague at least a few other people in the community so the sooner it's figured out the better.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm uninstalling it now.

EDIT: I can confirm that this works. Everything's working now after uninstalling the update. Thanks. :)

Glad it's working! Thanks for the tip Axl!

Nice, that's good to hear! No problem :) Apparently some people are even having problems with their mice after that update. Hopefully Microsoft will fix it soon and deploy a "patch for the patch." lol

It's legit, but the update server is down at the moment. I feel your pain.

General THPS(X) / Re: THPS5's Create-A-Park Editor
« on: September 20, 2015, 07:13:16 pm »
Pretty unexpected and awesome. I figured the CAP would basically be a "copy paste" of the old one, if not even with some features removed.

I didn't see a whole lot of unique parts to build with though, but hopefully they have more than the basics shown in the video and some CAP themes. Definitely enjoy the amount of QP variants they have though, so that's a good sign. It says "skins" down near the part selector too, but I never noticed that number being cycled except when a new part was selected. Of course, the video moves too fast and I'm too lazy to analyze it over and over lol

I hope that means you can have different materials and not just color swaps. Like, wood, metal, concrete and so on. I wish THUG2/THUGPro could've had that kind of feature so every park doesn't look so same-ish but oh well. But anyway, recolors are cool too at least.

I'm really interested in what the size limit/part limit is now. Or even how high you can build.

57
That'd be a big plus. It sucks that so many games have dropped local co-op in recent years. I really wish the original THPS's with splitscreen had it on PC too, but oh well. It was a different time then.

General THPS(X) / Re: THPS4 V THPS5 What we know so far.
« on: May 13, 2015, 08:40:51 pm »
The main things I'm hoping for are:

- A PC version first of all. For said PC version:
- Not lacking any features, like online.
- Instant controller and keyboard button prompt swaps. THHD just had the button textures replaced with keyboard keys.
- Rebinding controls. Not sure if THHD had this in-game, but I think you could modify the controls ini? THPS5 should in-game though.

Here's a kinda crazy one, which might be more difficult to pull off on the current consoles, but what about giving owners of THHD the THHD levels in THPS5? If THPS5 does play better, it'd be cool to at least replay those levels in a better game, and since both games seem to use Unreal Engine 3 (Has it been confirmed for THPS5?) and Robomodo did both, it couldn't be too hard to convert.

I'm just not sure how they'd let PS4/Xbone players redeem those. Maybe just put them in the game anyway, seriously. THHD flopped and isn't going to sell much anymore anyway and it'd be some goodwill towards the fanbase.
