Edit: Fixed by updating my PC from Win10 1709 to 1809.
Is anyone else having this issue?
I've talked about this in a few places but never really made a thread here about it until now.

Basically what happens is my game will instantly crash when trying to host (both LAN and Openspy) on levels that have no TOD options in the level options menu/indoor flag on them (such as Foundry, Andy's Room, Warehouse, etc.).
For the levels that do load while trying to host, the game will instantly crash if I change the TOD to anything other than day.

Everything TOD & level-related is 100% stable with no issues whatsoever in offline freeskate & while joining a server, only happens while hosting, the indoor levels crashing on load while hosting issue started happening to me ever since ver. 0.6.0.7.

I thought that was a CAS issue (or at least is really similar to it). Swap your CAS for a new one and see if you get the same issues.

I thought that was a CAS issue (or at least is really similar to it). Swap your CAS for a new one and see if you get the same issues.
Tried multiple save files, tried resetting online prefs, tried with no save and user folders, tried enabling the updater to verify files & game being up-to-date, tried running vanilla Thugpro with no mods on it (I think all of the mods I have on it are just rigs & textures anyway).

All no dice, really weird issue.

Some more info that may or may not help:
- When I got THUG2 years ago it was the normal installer from an ISO and not a file dump.
- Windows 10 Home (Ver. 1709) 64 Bit, AMD APU & GPU, 4GB RAM.
- Thugpro log shows the usual normal errors that it always gets with nothing else.
- Process Monitor doesn't really show much besides this when the crash happens (tried hosting on Foundry as an example, same stuff shows up when changing TOD on a level that loads).

- Event Viewer shows these events when the crash happens.

Weird, so I decided to look into this issue a bit more & apparently if I use the Levels.qb file from ver 0.6.0.6 the crash doesn't happen and I can host on every level just fine, the changing TOD online crash is still there but at least I can host on indoor levels again, though it'll probably set off the script mod detection thing so there's really no point in leaving it like that lol.

Found out something else earlier, if I join a server and the host changes TOD, everything works as expected and I don't crash. Idk about joining a server on an indoor level but I assume it'd also work too since TOD works.
EDIT: Joining a server in an indoor level also works.

It's really weird that it only crashes while hosting and nowhere else.

Here's another smaller issue I have that I think is either related to, or is the same crash (it crashes the same way as the TOD/indoor level one and has the same fault offset code thingy when viewing the crash in Windows event viewer):
I instantly crash if I toggle the "allow script mods" option while hosting. If I toggle it on/off via the lobby when setting up a server it works fine (it used to also instantly crash while toggling in the lobby too as of ver 0.6.0.0 but one of the recent hotfixes, forgot which specific one, fixed it).

Out of all of the time wasted & different things that I've tried, all I can really do at this point is just hope that a Windows and/or Thugpro update fixes these hosting crashes I'm having as nothing else I've tried worked. This is pretty much one of the main issues stopping me from playing online.

I still don't see anyone else having this problem. Add this most recent thugpro folder somewhere else on your HDD and try to see if it also crashes you.

If you still crash using this one, delete all of the Registry entries for thugpro and reinstall with the installer.

after that.. all I can think of is something with the thug2 files. Use Gone's thug2 installer on discord.

I think I saw someone else on Thmods with a similar issue but that's about it.

Things I tried earlier:
- Completely disabled antivirus.
- Did a few small updates for .Net Framework & Windows. (I was apparently missing some.)
- Tried running in Windows Safe Mode (yes I went that far lol, the game actually ran in safe mode, wanted to see if it was a graphics driver thing causing it maybe).
- Wiped & backed up my Thugpro folder and did a repair via installer.
- Used the Thugpro folder linked here.
- Wiped & backed up my Thugpro folder & registry settings and did a clean re-install of Thugpro via installer.
- Wiped & backed up my THUG2 folder & registry settings, uninstalled THUG2 & re-installed via Gone's ISO.

All of those things did not work sadly.

It's really weird cause again all of these problems only happen while hosting a server and nowhere else in the game, also the indoor level crashing didn't happen until the latest hotfix but the TOD change crash I believe started either on, or a little after the big 0.6 update.
It seems just like it's a script crash to me (especially since using the previous version/hotfix's levels.qb file fixes the indoor level crash but not the TOD change one) but I don't think there's any way it can be cause I've used vanilla & other people's scripts as well & still crash, also not everyone has this issue.

This is the weirdest Thugpro issue I've ever ran into, lol.

almost completely out of ideas

you've tested using a default skater instead of a CAS?

Just tried hosting on Foundry with THUG2 Tony right now after reading that, crash.

Only thing I can think of at this point is maybe cause my version of Windows 10 is still the Fall Creator's Update?
But I doubt it'd be that since I just updated to the latest cumulative update and there are people on older OS's with no issues.

EDIT: Just been told this whole issue is a bug and a patch will eventually come.

Latest patch did not fix the issue for me back when it came out.

However as of today the bug is finally fixed for me.
Turns out it was a Windows issue. I updated my PC from Windows 10 1709 to 1809 earlier today and it finally fixed all of the online crashes.

If anyone else has this problem and you're on Windows 10, check which version of it you're running lol.

Build 1803 has the same crash issue as of 1709 but yeah Microsoft finally fixed this bug hopefully in build 1809.

EDIT: The fix didn't work.
