Continuous music

Detailed Description:

I’d like to see music continue between runs so we can hear entire songs.

Proper revert animations

Detailed Description:

Reverts in THPS1+2 need to be fixed to better emulate how they worked and looked in THPS3 and up. The current revert animation uses the same animation for switching stance from regular to switch, which is straight legged and takes too long. Reverts are much faster and the skater is crouched because he is taking impact from landing into transition. Currently the reverts look the same as they are in THPS HD and THPS5.

Does this suggestion exist in THPS1/THPS2?

No but the feature is going to be present in the game already so might as well fix it.

Wallrides and Activation Button

Detailed Description:

Wallrides in THPS5 were also done incorrectly. In THPS5, wallrides were automatically activated when you jumped at a wall while angling a bit into the wall. In earlier games, wallrides were activated by holding the Grind button while jumping at the wall. Automatic wallrides take away precise skater control. Precision is key in THPS games so I believe wallrides should only be activated when the player chooses to wallride (by holding Grind).
Side note: When you jump at a wall and are not holding Grind, your skater shouldn’t bail, it should just bump into the wall and slightly angle away from the wall when your skater gets back to ground.

Does this suggestion exist in THPS1/THPS2?

Separate Game Campaigns

Detailed Description:

Keep the game campaigns and progression for THPS 1 and THPS 2 separate. This suggestion comes from the worry of emulating 2X where the THPS2 campaign must be completed in full before the THPS1 campaign can happen, and stats are carried over. Keeping the campaigns separate will ensure balance when going through levels and allow players to focus on their favorite game while not required to play the other first. If 2x levels are added, they could be unlocked after beating THPS2.

If no: please provide reasoning on why it should exist in the THPS 1+2 game.

Yes – the games started off as separate games and thus had separate campaigns to begin with.

Accurate Skater Control

Detailed Description:

In the original games when you were in a stopped position either from braking or coming up after bailing – you would be able to skate and immediately brake moments after moving. This gives you proper control of your skater and allows you to direct your skater far more accurately. In THPSHD+THPS5 if you were to start skating from a stopped position you would shoot forward without much control. In THPS2 it’s done perfectly, but in the new trailers it looks more reflective of THPS5. The suggestion is to make braking/rolling off more like THPS2.

Attached is a video in THPS5 where I show an attempt of immediately coming to a stop after skating. It shoots me very far before allowing me to stop.

Here is a THPS2 video. In THPS2 I am allowed to turn, skate, and brake in a way where I can direct my skater’s destination at will.
