This looks wicked! I really would enjoy Casino and Skate Ranch online again.

Are you gonna put all the skate ranch objects in by default or can the player edit them out in the menu? I would assume it would kinda be possible but Idk.

Just a thought. :))

What im doing for toggables in skate ranch is just items that are diffrent beetween the story mode skate ranch and free skate skate ranch, so just like the dino head, the crane, the oil vator, the us ga$ sign, and the launcher

Now some more promising news, for skate ranch fans, I manged to get a screen rip of the map with the vertex shadding in tack and not messed up, so the skate ranch port looks quite well, so here are some screen shots to show it looks much better with the shading, and to show how much skate ranch is coming along

So first ill start off with the Thaw Port Teasers, while yes they arent perfect, this is done from screen ripping, since the thaw tool converter isnt public so this is kinda all i can do, and had to remove vertex shadding because of it being glitched out and broken in the screen rip









Now thoese are in the works, and despite it going to take a while, its going well, as casino has a decent ammount done, but yea, now onto some better things, I have two beta maps for you guys to play, one is literally almost done (just have a few texture fixes and finish adding gaps to do) and the other is from thaw and im mainly only releasing it because im redoing it, since i found some stuff for blender to make some stuff easier, and to make sure its all done proper i gotta restart, so yea





So i hope you guys are excited for all the final releases of these ports and enjoy the two betas :D

So I am just making this post to let people know that I have a website with a bunch of stuff for thugplus and thugpro, including ports, decks, and caps.

Just some of the stuff on there is tampa skatepark and crane drop from thps2x ported for thugplus and thugpro, roberta and eric kostons decks from thpshd, decks from skateboard park tycoon, some of my caps from cap contests and more, all on my site right here: https://warehousehawkender.wixsite.com/ironhawk

Shipyard for me, idk what it is but shipyard has always just been my favorite thps4 level, and is great on lots of different game modes, but specially graffiti

No probally not, even thought evreyone would love a new tony hawk game, its just not going to happen, activison lost there contracting with tony after thps5 was made, and even then, the closest we have ever got to info of a new game, is tony saying he wants to make a new skateboarding game, but with a diffrent company, and that its too soon to talk specifics about it...

How do you do this, like what I mean is like, do you model this all yourself, or do you like export it from the game or something?
I either try to rip the model from the game myself or download them from The Models Resource.
(This one was from The Models Resource. All of the Mario Sunshine maps I did were ripped by me.)

Just to put this out there their engine has always been a custom one and what you refer to as renderware was only a pc port that happen to use files from a renderware engine.
Their math is common matrix / quaternion / vector arithmetic.

Simply using c++ and the directx libraries is what I meant by staying away from a pre built engine like unreal engine.
It's going to take a lot of work either way. Not being able to alter the engine code can lead to undesired results. If the math is wrong in the engine the math will be wrong in your game.

Oh okay, well still, yea I kinda knew it would take alot of work, and I understand that, but id still like to go threw with it

I usually lurk around this site to keep up on THUGPRO, but I wanted to reply to this thread. Good job, you made me finally participate in this community.

You remind me a lot of how I was when I was your age (maybe 5-10 years younger, same difference). Designing a video game on paper with no actual experience in having made a game was a magical time. I guess I'm presuming how much game development experience you have as well. Sorry about that. Anyways, I actually "designed" a skateboarding mmo/chatroom game where you could have a house and make parks and design your own boards and make clothing for your character in the game and it would have super cool music and...

Looking back it was a mess but I was super stoked on it. "how to make a good game easy" is probably in my old google searches multiple hundreds of times. It didn't help that my friend lied to me all the time about how he made a game similar to it really easy but he'd always forget the website it was on.

That being said, making a Tony Hawk clone is very hard. I've tried it myself but I gave up after I started losing hair due to the stress of trying to figure out all of the crazy vector math going on in the Tony Hawk games. I still keep a notebook to scribble ideas but, because I can't find any resources that talk about the kind of math and logic that drives the Tony Hawk games, I feel like nothing I think of will work the way I want it to (that being, like the originals). That doesn't mean you should give up, if you try your hardest you might make a game that's not half bad for a beginners attempt. If you want to make awesome games you've gotta start somewhere, and I'll never knock someone for that.

Well thank you, and yea I don't have much game experience, I have made a work in progress game, but its nothing much, tbh its absolut s**t, and yea, im not going to, it was a brainstorm, read respone above to know why

Sorry, you lost me at the notion of having your pony OC in the game as a playable character. And by "lost me," I mean "I starting laughing so hard I lost track of what you were talking about."

It was brainstorming, its hard to come up with a varity of skaters without getting copyrighted, hence why this is even in other games section, It basiclly is a tony hawk game, but without tony hawk, or Jamie thomas, or rodney mullen(sadly :( ) but its hard coming up with ideas that wont get the game copyrighted :/
