Title: Exporting banner.img.xbx files to .img or conventional image format?
Post by: hognoselmao on March 23, 2016, 07:36:06 pm
Has anyone had success with programs like IsoBurner with extracting .xbx files? I've been trying to get access to the custom banners and their images (for personal use; Counter-Strike sprays mostly) and I haven't made any headway.

Is .xbx just one of those dumb proprietary files that only Neversoft had access to? Or am I just using the wrong program?

http://thmods.com/mod_tools/sources.zip (http://thmods.com/mod_tools/sources.zip)
Inside this file is a bunch of folders & .rar files.
There are THUG2 PC image converter programs in the defeat0r.rar file.

Those are the programs that I use for extracting & building .xbx files.
The IMG2TGA_UG2 folder is the extractor.

Probably the antivirus blocking it because it has THPS4 Defmod and lots of antivirus programs detect it as a virus. I ran into the same problem.

If you're still having problems with that one for whatever reason (probably AV like Skater1014 said) you can download the THUG2 texture tools directly from my thread on PHUN:

Available via Dropbox or Mediafire, whichever you prefer.
