(Fixed) Can't assign buttons with Xbox 360 wireless controller

So I'm using a wireless Xbox 360 controller now, since I sold my wired one recently. First, everything worked fine, except I couldn't assign the caveman buttons. So I try to fix that, and end up undoing all the assigned buttons to try to set them up again. But, the only thing is, I can't assign anything anymore. If I press a button, it won't do anything, even if I know the controller is working just fine.
If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Do you have the new controller selected in the "Gamepad Device" dropdown in the launcher?

Something could have gotten reset in the latest update.

Yes. When I select the controller, it'll select the first box to assign buttons. When I try to assign one, it won't do anything. Really annoying.

Strange.. I don't have one to test but I think reinstalling the drivers for the controller is the next thing I would try.

Maybe someone else that uses similar controller setup will post up.

That's exactly what I did before seeing your reply. And it actually worked! I can even assign the caveman buttons. Thanks for the help :D
