Title: Is a Psp version of thug pro possible?
Post by: EvilAsh123 on December 14, 2016, 12:37:45 am
I was thinking about it for a while, if the ps2 files for the tony hawk games were ported onto thug 2 remix, would it be possible to have a Psp version of thug pro

Possibly, modders can do a lot nowadays. I just think there'd be little to no interest in a PSP THUGPro, because it's already a very unpopular game with only a few players, and most of us are happy the way it is, on pc. The PSP is a bit outdated and I don't think it gets a lot of fan support anymore (correct me if I'm wrong). I also wouldn't know if setting up an online connection would be possible. If THUGPro ever gets turned into an official title, I'd love to see it on a handheld console, or even a hybrid console like the switch.

PSP had a few good TH games as it is, though, including UG2R and P8. You can even play older levels like Marseille, Hawaii and Alcatraz.

The main reason I think a Psp version of thug pro would be cool, is so if I'm on a long car trip, and I'm bored, I could mess around on more tony hawk levels

The easiest would be to just use a laptop. Sure it might be a bit large and inconvenient, and of course no online play then. Also you might not like the controls, so you'd hook up an extra controller.

But it works.

On the whole laptop issue, check out Nextbook. I was able to pick up one with a detachable keyboard from Walmart for 100 dollars, and an 8 inch one with no keyboard on Amazon for 50 dollars that charges with a droid charger. Both run full Windows, both came with 8, both had a free upgrade to 10, the 8 inch one literally didn't have the space to do the upgrade, lol. Believe it or not, they run Thug Pro, and are great for trips. I use the one I upgraded to 10 regularly to play XB1 anywhere I am in my house with the Xbox Streaming feature. Works great.

As for ThugProPSP, though it will most-likely never see any development, it could still be used in the PPSSPP emulator, which is excellent and supports online play. In the past I've tried to bring some attention to it, because using the emulator we essentially have THP8 PC online right now, and it runs smoothly on my pc. PPSSPP is also supported on android and doesn't crash often, it's just slow and depends on your phone.

There will not be a PSP version of THUG Pro.  Consider buying an inexpensive Windows tablet as TNT suggested and a controller.

I think there might be a way to replace levels but its hard to make homebrews for psp the most a modder could do is a homebrew menu tool that replaces levels in thug 2 remix plus the psp has limited hardware, i worked in psps before.
