FL!P ICBM
Very nice level. All rails connect and easy to combo. Goals were hard but good.
Definitely my favourite, design-wise. It was crazy as shit. Nice change to see something other than the Mars background. I know it didn?t fit the theme entirely, but the rocket is spacey so I still scored it based on that. Makes for a very cool prov map. The goals were pretty hard, good to have a challenge.

ThAEm  Planet Zoltar
Cool level. So many levels! Lots of connecting rails, easy to combo. Good goals
I like the flow on this one, the black rails made it fun as shit. Theme accuracy was good, I liked the look of the flying bowl with the boost kickers, kinda complimented the theme. The goals worked pretty well but I?m bad so I struggled with the race one.

thedodeman  Dode Spaceship
Nice level. I like the highwires and rails around the level. Goals were fun.
Really cool design, perfectly symmetrical, love it. It flowed pretty well and the boosters made me feel like Sonic. The gaps were few but they worked well with the park.

Chatter Rukor Planet
Simple level. Good goals. Hard to maintain combos.
For me, the flow wasn?t amazing because of the enclosed space, but with the theme, I guess it had to be all weird and unique to make it work. The goals were kinda hard at first, but doable.

Chatter:
Thank you, sk8ace, for taking your time to judge this and make this post.

There's a few things I'd like to say.

As you probably saw from my entry and my complaints, I try really hard to focus on the theme and make it accurate. I wanted to make a planet, hence the rounded edges, and the out of bound pits (comets). I didn't have much time the week that I participated, so I rushed it in about 2 hours on Friday, with little concentration. I also felt a bit stressed about the memory limit, since it was almost full by simply making the planet idea, I had little space left and I still had to decorate the entire planet at that point.

I possibly could've made the park better, if I took the few extra days given. I hope I don't seem like I'm complaining or so, I'm really only speaking my own thoughts, I want to share what I think.

I'm a little bit upset FL!P has won, because his park barely resembles the theme. It's a very cool looking and greatly skateable park, and I like it, it's just that in my opinion, it doesn't work for this theme. I understand you didn't want to give ThAEm the win two times in a row, but then IMO, dodeman should've won. His spaceship made sense for the theme, was clever (the couch killed me, lol), and was skateable.

Hopefully next time we can get a true deadline that doesn't change, no matter what happens.

FL!P:
Hi guys, first time posting here!

first of all thank you judges for your scores. thats a nice detailed scoreboard by the way, you guys taking it seriously!
Anyway, glad you liked the park, it was a lot of fun making it!

Chatter I know what you mean Im the first surprised here as I thought I would not get 1st because of theme accuracy
but it seems that the judges liked it! Would you have said it barely resembles the theme if i had put Mars theme and changed name of park to
somthing like "space shuttle"? Lets see what ThAEm and thedodeman have to say about this ;)

Anyway congratulations to all running in the contest!  ;D

I would've still said the same thing, but IMO, this theme was very difficult to work with.

sk8ace:
The deadline never changed.  All 4 parks were completed before the deadline.  I didn't have time to judge until yesterday.

We certainly didn't fudge the numbers so Thaem couldn't win 2 in a row.  If he had a better park, he could have won.

The theme was difficult so I didn't really focus on that. It's not like we are using a complicated  weighted points system where theme accuracy is worth more than the rest of the judging categories.
