Try to create parks that can play online with 3 people without crashing.
I don't think this is even possible until the bug that came with the update gets fixed.
It's fixed now.

I could judge sometime, Shut! I'd rather enter this week though. About the crashes, yeah it'll be a problem, but smaller parks or minimalistic parks can be great too.

Yea, the guidelines never stated to make a huge park, lol

Bigger parks can obviously allow for more room, creativity, etc. But it's not always the best.

Also, I would like to make a suggestion. Could there be a seperate topic in the contests&tournaments subforum for suggestions?

I think some people might have their own ideas for contest. It's not only limited to CaP, also some people might like different requirements/rules/deadlines.

Think about:
-CaP
-CaS
-Speedrun (for example in goal attack)
-Prov
-Style
-Challenges (I think I remember a video about someone posting a video about the East LA bridge legde manual, as a challenge)
-Clan wars/playing gametypes against each other

If everyone can come with their suggestions, we can make the whole contest thing a bit more colourful and creative. I wonder what you guys would think.

Thanks for informing me that my writing skills are shit, Shut! :P It's ok.

I guess we can add an extra score category for GAPs, Goals, KOTH, and CTFness. As long as it is okay with the other judges.

Wings, that's not exactly what I meant.

I'm saying it as there could be different contests suggested by other people.

I was just listing some ideas for other contests, seperate from this one.

If you do want to change rules in this contest, please do it quick, but tbh, I don't think there will be any problems.

Made a suggestion post.

If you want to organize a different contest, Chatter, make a writeup like I have for the CAP contests and I will post it for you.

We're not going to change the rules on this one.

Way to go!

Thanks for making a suggestion thread, I will defenitely post something if I come up with a good idea.

Also, sorry for being so paranoid at times. I was a bit overly upset how the rules changed midway last time, and I shouldn't have been. As Shut! said, it was mostly just a practice/test contest.

I will likely ''advertise'' for this contest during this week, by playing THUGPro, and informing random people. Hopefully that way we can get a decent amount of entries.
Title: Honored to be named! Oh, right, it's not Drawception. 😅

This almost makes me want to dust off the dirt and make some CAPs!
We used to do similar concpets back on Create-A-Review.
I am absolutely amazed people are still creating things after all these years.
Props!

Got started on my build last night. I'm so rusty...my stuff will be more old school...not even sure what everyone likes these days. Is straight improv still the rage?

My entry is submitted! Had a lot of difficulties early on, but in the end, this was really satisfying to make! I'm now going to check what the other people have made.

I am impressed by the other entries. They might be more simplistic than mine, but they are 837 times more skateable and proper. I wish good luck to everyone who enters!

Well, i think you know the memory's limits, you can't make a big, very detailed and fully skateable park.. :l

While I don't know how the THUG 2 engine works, I have been speculating on how to make the memory limit not as strict.

Simplified pieces to use less parts.

1. 4x4 Ground pieces. Why use 4 normal parts when you can use 1.
2. Long stretched out ramps, QPs, HPs
3. Large selections of the Block Parts. So 1x1, 1x2, and 1x3

At the same time keep the vertexs on the parts the same as there counter parts, but repeat the textures.

Also maybe a blank theme with no objects in the background would reduce the RAM used up?

Got mine finished and uploaded. Space issues as I always remember...had to downsize my original concept a TON. I enjoyed it though!

Good luck to everyone!

Heh, nice workaround, and that's true, i've been using small pieces so i can fit some spots seamlessly but i think i should use that method for small spots, i've always used long ramps, tho, lol.
And i don't understand the third one..

We should actually try removing the fences, i honestly don't mind bounces, they could actually help on combos!

My park is also up and ready to go! It took me a few days to make this so that explains the rather late entry. Shouldn't crash online either, since the CAP memory bar isn't full. Good luck to everyone else, as well!

That'll be 19:00 or 20:00 central European time. Idk how Daylight saving time will affect this, our clock changed a week ago, I think the American clock changes soon too?
