Changing 'Online Preferences' outside of THUGPRO

Is it possible to change 'online preferences' outside of the game itself?
I mean changing the name displayed online so it does have more characters in it than allowed?

No, that wouldn't work. Anything more than what you are allowed will just crash your game.
