Title: Kernel32.dll
Post by: SK8.William on November 14, 2016, 06:42:44 pm
Good night, mates! I haven't been able to play thugpro lately due to a problem in Kernel32.dll...whenever i run thugpro,an error box appears saying:
The procedure entry point InitializeCriticalSectionEx could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.
Can anyone help me with that? Do i have to format the pc or something?

Does that error show up in the launcher or the game itself?
If it appears with the game itself then that's pretty weird...

The launcher runs normally, but if i try to run thugpro, this message shows up.

I think this might be graphics card driver related. What graphics card are you using? Did you recent get an update to the drivers? When was the last time you play without error? Operating system you're using?

Operating System: Windows XP
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6200
I don't remember of any update in the drivers.
The last time i played without error was like 3 weeks ago.Nothing was made to the computer, according to my brother who used it in this time.
This problem happens to THUGPro,but i can run THUG2 normally.I am currently testing the other games to see if they also have this issue, and, for now,THUGPro is the only one.

XP?! It's way past time to upgrade dude!

Go to "Run"

Type in "msconfig"

Go to the "Startup" section and make sure "NVBACKEND.EXE" is unchecked.

Then restart.
Title: No solutions here, unfortunately, and no working PC here either.

Well, hopefully not a graphics card issue until upgrade like it happened to me, i recall not being able to play THUGPro at all, i had to play THUG/2's story mode to the point of beating it in a day each week because it was the closest i had to THUGPro.

It's a graphics card driver issue as well as an windows xp issue. Disabling the NVBACKEND.EXE will prevent the error until another update comes out for his card's driver. (assuming he is up to date on his drivers).

You both need to buy new PCs. Get to work!

Dammit! For some reason,NVBACKEND.EXE doesn't appear in msconfig...maybe i should format the computer since it's pretty screwed.

Hm...i'm using another PC.It is still a Windows XP though, and it hasn't been fixed. This error has been happening since the Win10 Light Patch update, and from what i have read, this entry point is not located in the Windows XP Kernel32.dll... (http://image.prntscr.com/image/98a45654d8d849a886fa10c9b78a8004.png)
So i think that means i'll only be able to play the updated version in a most recent OS.

Has anyone got a download link for a version of THUGPro that works on XP?
